Evening Classes Even if you've never touched a drum before, drumming classes are a great way to reduce stress, have fun, and get energized! We offer classes for all levels of experience, from beginner to advanced. In our classes we create a warm and friendly environment in which anyone can have fun learning, regardless of experience or ability. People from all walks of life participate in drumming classes, from doctors and housewives, to business owners and preachers. You can be of any age and any background. You don't need any experience, and we've even got drums for you to use too! Click here for more information and to register for classes!
"I don't need any experience?" No kidding. Our beginner's classes are specifically aimed at making the drumming experience accessible to those without any musical background at all. In fact, the way we see it, it's not about the drums or the music; it's about the human experience. It's not about performance; it's about self-expression. It's not about getting it right; it's about getting connected. It's not about quality musical outcomes; it's about quality life outcomes. Based on this approach, it's often the case that the most inexperienced beginners bring the freshest perspective, the most openness, and ultimately have the most to teach us! "I've been drumming for a while. What's here for me?" Studying with Living Rhythms offers you the opportunity to sharpen your skills and refine your playing in a refreshing, challenging, and community-oriented environment. Students in our intermediate and advanced classes work on developing specific drumming skills like solo techniques, sound, and speed. Students in the advanced class perform in the Living Rhythms Community Drumming Choir as a way to share their love of the drum with the greater community. Please see our page on "Performances."
